Part One: Initial Consultation
Phil and Jacquelyn came to RenoVista ready for a full kitchen transformation. Their existing kitchen had dated cabinets, a layout that didn’t flow, and a large window over the sink that needed to be replaced to bring in more light and reduce energy loss.
From the very first conversation, RenoVista laid out a clear plan: a Zoom consultation to align on their vision, a pre-production phase to finalize design and order materials, and a fixed-price contract with a milestone-based payment schedule.
Before any work began, the team held a pre-construction meeting on-site, walking the homeowners through exactly how the project would unfold from demo day to final walkthrough.

Inefficient Layout
The kitchen’s layout felt cramped and left the dining corner underused.
Unusable Window
The old sink window was too tall and lacked the ventilation a modern kitchen needs.
Poor Lighting
Work areas like the fridge zone sat in shadow, with no dedicated lighting over the eating area.
Inadequate venting
The microwave didn’t have a dedicated external exhaust route, trapping moisture and odors.
Dated Cabinetry
Old cabinets left the family short on functional, modern storage.
Part Two: Design And Construction
RenoVista created full blueprints and 3D renderings with two rounds of revisions before Phil and Jacquelyn signed off on the final design. The plan removed the old island and desk nook for an open peninsula layout with a custom breakfast nook. The construction alone took about 11 weeks from demo to final walkthrough.
