Part One: Initial Consultation
Angela and Jim had followed RenoVista on Facebook for years. So when it came time to renovate their primary bathroom and add a closet, reaching out to us was an easy decision.
Their existing bathroom had run its course: inefficient layout, nearly no storage, and a space that no longer matched the home around it. They wanted a spa-like primary suite, elevated yet functional, paired with a custom closet to finally bring order to their mornings.
From the very first conversation, owner Josh laid out a clear project plan with timelines and a fixed price so Angela and Jim always knew exactly where their investment stood.
Some of the challenges with their existing space included…
Cramped Layout
A non-bearing partition wall split the bathroom and closet into two separate, small, and disjointed rooms.
Outdated Shower
The bathroom had a standard acrylic fiberglass shower enclosure that lacked style and space.
Obstructive Doors
Traditional swing doors took up too much space in the tight layout.
Poor Fixture Flow
The original positions of the vanity and shower restricted movement in the bathroom.
Old Electrical
The existing left electrical panel was outdated and out of code.
Part Two: Design And Construction
After signing, we finalized the design blueprints and ordered the materials in advance. We also held a pre-construction meeting at Angela’s home, and she called it one of the most thorough walk-throughs she’d ever experienced.
Demolition began mid-April. Within the first week, the bathroom was gutted, a pocket door framed and installed, and rough framing completed. The project moved through each phase with precision with every required inspection passed on the first attempt.
