This Is How Long Most People In Worcester County, Massachusetts, And MetroWest Will Wait For Their New Space.
Everyone knows remodeling a room will take a while, but nobody knows exactly how long. It’s frustrating, but we have the answers!
In this post, you’ll find out about how long it takes to remodel a basement, bathroom, and kitchen. You’ll also learn what kind of schedule and payment plan you can expect from RenoVista.
Such An Inconvenience
“Yes, remodeling is inconvenient, but it’ll be so worth it once it’s done,” says Melissa.
“I know, I know, I just need to complain a little,” grumbles John. “It’d be easier if we knew how long it’d actually take. Also if there was some kind of schedule promised and payment plan outlined.”
Melissa smiles and nods. “I totally agree, why do you think I’ve been keeping my cool over here?” John’s head snaps around to where she’s sitting. “You mean you know?! Next, you’ll tell me you know how much basement remodeling costs!”
“Sure do, but that’s because I read the emails those contractors send us. One of them sent us a lot of stuff to read and it’s been super helpful. Here, take a look,” she says, tossing him her phone.
Here’s what John sees:
How Long Does A Basement Remodel Take?
For the typical project, a basement remodel can take about 6 weeks to complete. It can be more if you want to add another room down there.
How Long Does A Complete Bathroom Remodel Take?
Usually, a complete bathroom remodel can take between 5 and 6 weeks to finish. It does depend on whether it’s a guest, hall, or master bathroom.
How Long Does A Kitchen Remodel Take?
Most kitchen remodels take somewhere between 8 and 10 weeks to complete. They take longer than the others because there are more moving parts and things to deal with.
What Kind Of Project Schedule Can We Expect From RenoVista?
The best we can do is give you a rough schedule. We’ll show you the lineal path, but we can’t commit to anything because delays outside of our control can happen. For example, delays in inspections, subcontractor delays, rain, change orders, and more.
What’s The Payment Plan With RenoVista Like?
Normally, we ask you to put down 15 to 20% of your project during the signing. After that, we do a series of progress payments. Each one is at the start of a milestone. This can include day one of the building, the start of carpentry, the start of the painting, the start of inspections, the start of rough plumbing, etc.
We’ll ask for the final payment after you look at the project and we complete anything left on the punch list.
